Getting Started

Welcome to Koala! This guide is designed to help you get up and running quickly with whatever you're trying to accomplish using Koala.

Continue reading below to familiarize yourself with where everything is and what everything does!

1. Home Page



As soon as you go to our website, you land on the home page. This is where you decide where you want to go.

On the left sidebar, you can see the buttons for KoalaChat, KoalaWriter, Pricing, Login, Register, and Discord.


If it's your first time on our website, you might want to click the Register button to create your account.

2. Register or Sign up



Once you click the Register button, you'll be redirected to this page:


If you already have an account, you can skip to the third step, Login.

But if you don't, you should now create your account. You can either register using Google or input an email and password.

Note: You can use the free trial without an account, but the articles and chats won't be saved.

3. Login



If you've already made an account before, make sure you're logged in!

Clicking the login button will redirect you to this page:


If you registered using Google, click the Google button. If you registered using an email, simply input your email address and password, and you'll be good to go!

Note: You can use the free trial without an account, but the articles and chats won't be saved. So to have a reference for your free trial, please make sure you're logged into your account.

4. KoalaChat



Now that you're logged in, it's time to try KoalaChat, our better, more affordable alternative to ChatGPT Plus!

On our home page, you will see a Quick Access area to KoalaChat. You can either input your prompt there or click the KoalaChat button on the left sidebar.


Note: During the free trial, KoalaChat is limited to 25 messages to prevent abuse. If you notice in the image below, the message on the right above the input box says I only have four messages left from my free trial.

A. KoalaChat Button on Sidebar


If you click the KoalaChat button on the left sidebar, you'll immediately be redirected to the KoalaChat page.


Here, you will just input your prompt, press Enter, and KoalaChat will give you an answer.

B. Quick Access


If you choose to input your prompt on Quick Access, you'll be redirected to the KoalaChat page.

KoalaChat will now reply to the prompt you sent from the home page:


Once it's done replying, you can send a new prompt. Or you can also hit the "Cancel" button if you don't like where it's going.

Now, If you haven't tried KoalaWriter yet, make the most of your free trial and use it!

5. KoalaWriter



This is a Getting Started guide, so we will only review the article types of KoalaWriter quickly. If you need a more detailed guide to KoalaWriter, please go here.


Blog Post


One article type that KoalaWriter can create is a blog post. By default, it will include an introduction and write about any topic it decides is necessary to cover. To read more about this article type, please go here.

Amazon Product Roundups


Another article type that you can create using KoalaWriter is the Amazon Product Roundup. By default, it will contain an introduction, a number of products that include your affiliate link, and a buying guide. To read more about this article type, please go here.

Sample Outputs


On the KoalaWriter page, you can see the link to a few sample outputs we've prepared for anyone to see. Please note that these samples have not been edited aside from adding a featured image from Unsplash. To see the sample outputs, click here.

Note: The free trial for KoalaWriter is limited to 5,000 words, with each article limited to 500 words to prevent further abuse.

6. Pricing



If you decide to subscribe, please go to the Pricing page. Here, you'll find the various plans that you can choose from. Most of our users opt for the Professional plan, but you should choose the one that best suits your needs.


Note: The amount of words for each plan is based on GPT-3.5. If you plan to create your articles using GPT-4, please note that it will cost 5x more words than GPT-3.5.

7. Discord
