How to connect Shopify to Koala AI
Connecting Koala AI to Shopify is easy. Follow our detailed guide below, and you should have yours connected within a few minutes!
Go to your Koala AI Account Page and scroll down until you see the Integrations.
Click Shopify, and you should see a menu appear.
To get your Store Name, go to Settings from your Shopify admin dashboard. Then, click Domains.
On the Domains page, you will be able to get your Store Name. For example, the Store Name in the screenshot below is 0p00pu-fs.
Next, we need to get the Blog ID. Please note that this is optional, so if you would like to skip this, head straight to step number 7.
To get the Blog ID, click Content > Blog Posts on the left sidebar > Manage Blogs near the top right.
Select one of the blogs from the list or create one.
Copy the last 11-12 digits from the URL, then paste it into the box provided for the Blog ID on your Koala AI Account page. It should look similar to this: 108676284698 or 88198283451.
Next, we will create the Shopify Access Token. Go to the Settings page , then click Apps and sales channels in the sidebar.
Click Develop Apps at the top, then click Allow custom app development. Next, click Create App.
Enter an app name such as "KoalaWriter" or "Koala AI," then click the Create app button.
Click the Configure Admin API scopes button.
Enable the write_content and read_content permissions, then save it.
Click Install.
Once installed, copy the access token, which starts with "shpat_".
Paste the Shopify Access Token into the box provided on your Koala AI Account page, then click the Connect or Add Account button on the bottom.
Once successfully connected, you should see it appear under your Connected Accounts.
Once you connect your site, you will be able to see the "Create Draft" button above all your articles on KoalaWriter. It will look like this if you have multiple integrations set up:
Click Create Draft and you should be able to select your Shopify site from the dropdown menu. If successful, you will see the following message appear:

How To Use
